This couple blew my mind with their love. They chose Italy for their wedding celebration and oh man… it was a feast! Chilling and swimming in the pool until an hour before their dream Tuscany outdoor wedding, laughing and crying through the whole ceremony, dancing like crazy in the moonlight! The emotions, the family and friends bonds, the love they share – all that inspired me for the whole season. I love coming back to this Italian wedding story.

Rehearsal wedding dinner in a famous Italian restaurant Osteria La Porta, Monticchiello, Italy

We started our Tuscany wedding adventure with a Friday dinner by the sunset in a cosy traditional Italian restaurant with a view on Tuscan hills. You know, the kind of those “osterias” that are located in the most unpredictable place, hidden somewhere behind the stone walls of a small ancient town. If you don’t read about it you would not realize, that you’re passing a place with exquisite cuisine. What a place to start your Italian wedding celebrations! It was a magnificent feast of many dishes, full of Italian classics like pasta and sea food, and also a perfect starter before the big party (outdoor wedding reception) by the pool next day.

Italian wedding must haves – food, food and food!

Oh, boy and when it comes to food, Poggio Piglia has also outdone itself. I believe I came back from this 3-day trip 5 kilos heavier and I should pay more for the extra luggage! 😀 The delicious dinner itself took some time and it was enriched with live Italian music. The trio of talented musicians got absolutely everyone by the table singing ‘O sole mio!

My favorite moment of the Italian outdoor wedding

When I am asked what is my favorite moment at the wedding I would say it’s when the just married couple has a first moment for themselves, when they chill and take a breath to realize that they just got married. Usually I photograph those emotional moments at the wedding when the bride and groom whisper something to each other or just look into their eyes without words needed to express what they feel at this second. I will remember this Tuscan wedding for good.
